![]() Oracle Creative is pleased to have been appointed by Cobham London Bus Museum to design, plan, market and help to raise funds for their new Museum premises. The Museum is home to the London Bus Preservation Trust, a Charitable Trust dedicated to preserving and restoring its collection of historic London buses, which chart a century of London's buses from the 1870's until the 1970's. Our brief was to produce a corporate branding, museum layout, displays, website design and marketing material for their new building within the Brooklands complex. The aim of the museum is to encourage participation in this fascinating aspect of London's development. This impressive collection of buses and associated ephemera charts not only the development of the London bus but also it's impact on the social, commercial and physical development of London. With education and participation as key goals it was our job to create the best possible surroundings for these iconic vehicles, where they can be enjoyed by the public, and the continued restoration and conservation can take place, with the skills of the Trust members being passed onto future generations via workshops, open days and community events. If you would like to find out more about the Museum or would like to make a donation towards the new museum please contact: sue@oraclecreative.co.uk Our latest web project, for The Story of Christmas charity event, is now live!
Founded in 1978, the Story of Christmas is the leading charity carol service of the property industry and London corporate sector. Over the years the Story of Christmas Appeal has raised over £4 million for charities associated with children, young people and the homeless. Fundraising culminates in a spectacular event at the start of Christmastime in the form of a service of nine lessons and carols at St George's Hanover Square, followed by a Champagne Reception and charity auction at Christies for principal guests. This year the event will involve the Story of Christmas's President, Dame Judi Dench CH DBE, and Deputy President, Aled Jones, as well as a host of other distinguished readers including Geoffrey Palmer OBE, Dan Stevens, The Rt Hon Michael Portillo, June Whitfield CBE and others. Our brief was to create a new website to publicise this charitable event whilst showcasing it's long history spanning over three decades. The Story of Christmas has played host to many famous faces over that time. We achieved the desired result by utilising the fantastic photos that have been taken over the years at this eye catching event which has been a privilege for Oracle Creative to attend and support. It was imperative that the website design could be changed easily to match the design of the wonderful event programmes that we produce each year. A programme browser has been included on the history page to show for the first time, all of the covers in one place which date back to 1978. The website was well received by Marc Cobert Weaver "The Story of Christmas Organising Committee is just delighted with this new website. It provides users with a real flavour of the Event, the Appeal and their history. The team at Oracle have worked magic in the creation of a site that has had an enormous impact upon every aspect of the organisation. The site has been commented upon with great excitement by lots of people, from all angles and is just what we need to help us fundraise for the Appeal." Marc Corbett-Weaver Our work has people queueing around the block
The old Coronet cinema in Eltham has been purchased for redevelopment into 63 apartments, 4 shops, a restaurant & new, 60 seat cinema. The new owners, Cathedral Eltham Limited in association with iPro Limited, commissioned us to construct a hoarding around two sides of the corner 'Art Deco masterpiece', with a brief that was interesting, unusual & challenging. The client wanted us to visualise the entrance of the old cinema on the curved front section and a queue of people, stretching around the corner of the 60m hoarding. Oh! And he wanted the people in the queue to be lifesized, in full colour and dressed in 1940's costume, with some of them having the faces of his family and friends! We made contact with 'Milk-Cow magazine', a publication that specialises in 1940's and 50's lifestyle. We told them exactly what we required and they came back with 300 creative studio shots of their staff and friends dressed appropriately. We selected 100 figures from this fantastic resource and montaged them together to achieve a stunning result. The entrance was visualised from an old black and white photograph. The client was thrilled with the result. Oracle performs for the Orpheus foundation
![]() ![]() "Brilliant young musicians of rare talent and exceptional promise travel to London, the musical capital of the world, to train at our leading conservatoires. Even for the very finest, a hurdle which can be insurmountable is the gap between college training and commercial work. The difficulty of acquiring experience in the musical world is as great as in any other profession. The Orpheus Foundation provides that missing stepping-stone, enabling a classroom talent to grow into a public performer. Within a working orchestra, the Orpheus Foundation provides a mechanism for intercollegiate collaboration which delivers a broad range of opportunities to soloists, conductors and orchestral players for intense professional development and transition. The Orpheus Foundation also enables young artists and ensembles to showcase their achievements on a central London concert platform, providing the vital stepping-stone to transform musical promise into performance reality. Oracle Creative has supported Orpheus from it's inception, more than 5 years ago and provided a wide range of exciting and colourful collateral, culminating in this comprehensive and highly efficent website. They have provided us with a polished and professional image in the London classical music scene, which I, Dame Judi Dench our Patron, the young musicians and all those involved with the Foundation, appreciate - they are stars!"
